On Saturday 28 November 2026, SYNERGY Events is back at the Alte Kaserne with a name that, in more than thirty years behind the decks, has never played in Switzerland: John Askew 🇬🇧.

The Briton is one of the defining figures of tech-trance. From the early 2000s he built Discover Records into the label that set the direction for a whole generation of that sound, and gave names like John O'Callaghan and Sean Tyas their first large audience. He went on to run Perfecto and Perfecto Fluoro for many years. Today he is behind VII, one of the most independent-minded labels in the scene, which has had its own stage at Tomorrowland.

What Askew is best known for, though, are his extended sets. Open to close, three hours, six hours, and once seven straight in Buenos Aires. That is exactly what Zurich gets: an exclusive three-hour extended set, this night only. No warm-up slot, no clock to watch, just the full arc from driving tech-trance to wherever he decides to take the floor at the end.

His Swiss premiere, presented by a promoter that has been at home in the Alte Kaserne for years. Doors at 21:00, Kanonengasse 16, right between Zurich main station and the Langstrasse.
